Palms Packing Dirt

I want my hands in your hair -- I want

to fill my palms with the deep brown tangles like

I am packing dirt into the garden at the hollow

of the hill behind my house --

my skin on your skin -- searching

for the warmth the sun leaves in soil

as it waits
